In his Parisian studio, Jean-Philippe Lagouarde creates singular works through a slow and intuitive process. Using thousands of hand-cut strips of dyed blotting paper, he builds compositions that evolve over time, shaped by light, air, and the natural instability of the material itself. With no fixed outcome in mind, his practice embraces imperfection, chance and transformation allowing each piece to exist with a life of its own.
